Dear Friends & Patrons,

I hope this message finds you all well. My name is Homaed Ishaque, widely known in the travel community of Bangladesh as a passionate outdoor enthusiast. Over the years, I have been actively involved in adventure activities and endurance sports, particularly as a triathlete. Among my favorite pursuits are swimming and mountaineering, and I also coach others in swimming.

I am now preparing for my next challenge — a mountain expedition to Mera Peak (6,476m) in the Himalayas, Nepal, starting on November 5th.

This journey is not only about reaching the summit of one of Nepal’s most iconic trekking peaks. It also represents the spirit of sportsmanship, resilience, and the drive to inspire others to push beyond their limits. Through this expedition, my goal is to raise awareness for spinal cord injury survivors, proving that human boundaries can be challenged despite physical limitations.

My background in adventure sports includes:

1. Basic Mountaineering Course, HMI Darjeeling  
2. Everest Base Camp Three Pass Trek, Nepal  
3. Mount CB13 Expedition, Himachal Pradesh, India  
4. Several high-altitude pass crossings  
5. Completion of Ironman 70.3 Malaysia (2024)  

As you know, mountaineering is an expensive sport that requires significant investment in equipment, logistics, training, and endurance preparation. The tentative budget for this expedition is USD 2,500 (including airfare).

Unfortunately, in Bangladesh, these kinds of sports are still under-recognized and lack financial support. While I have managed to cover some initial expenses, the remaining costs are still substantial. Around the world, such endurance expeditions are often supported through sponsorships, well-wishers, and crowdfunding.
